Jody Porter, Development Committee
Rich Day, Development Committee
Wendy Hyde, Development Committee
Wendy first came into contact with World Joy in 2006, when she spearheaded a campaign to raise money for World Joy projects at her daughters’ school, Legacy Academy. Through Wendy’s leadership students, parents, and community members contributed to funds that were used to build three schools in Asunafo. Wendy and her husband traveled with their family to Ghana to attend the dedication of Asunafo’s first school, so she has experienced the joy of World Joy firsthand!
After becoming a board member, Wendy created World Joy’s Junior Board, a group of 20 high school students with a common mission of financially supporting World Joy projects. Under Wendy’s Leadership, the Junior Board traveled to Ghana in March, 2014 to participate in the dedication services for the new learning center in Abomosu. Jody Porter, another World Joy Board member and her volunteers from North Logan, UT, along with Wendy and the Junior Board members raised almost $60,000 for the construction of the learning center.
